Who the hack owned knol.com? He must be a lucky dude. You must know Uncle Google has just released its brand new service called Knol. This Wikipedia rivals was opened in beta to the public on July 23, 2008. The service will powered by professionals around the world focusing on the health and medical field at first. In the future, it will expand to other topics as well. I think Google has lost their calculation this time. Releasing a service without noticing the potential URL domain should be. Knol.com, the rational choice for the internet address for Knol service owned by a company selling a steam cleaning equipment from Dordrecht in the Netherlands.

Money is exactly not everything. At least for the Dutch dude. Here I quote his own remarks, published in the homepage :

NOTE: We sell steam cleaning equipment and do not sell our domain!

For many years he seems comfortable with his domain. A six digits offer from Google, Inc means nothing compare to the 52% Dutch tax rate should pay by its owner Hilco Knol if he transferred his domain. However, he said it would be different if the offer with six zeros or 7 digits. So far, there hasn’t been further bid yet from the Mogul of Search Engines.

Will Knol.com strict with its idealism and ignore the temptation? Hmm, let’s see…
